Econet Wireless Zimbabwe is hosting one of the country’s most significant tech events as it moves to position itself at the centre of Zimbabwe’s fast-growing digital economy.
The three-day ‘Econet E-novate Expo’, running from 8–10 December 2025 at the Harare International Conference Centre (HICC), will be held under the theme “Future-Ready Tech Synergies.”
Econet says the expo is designed to turn Zimbabwe’s digital potential into practical opportunities by giving businesses, students and innovators direct access to new technologies and industry experts. By drawing in innovators from across Africa, the company aims to unpack emerging trends shaping the region’s digital future and show how they can be applied locally.
“The Expo will be an intersection of a cutting-edge technology exhibition, educative presentations and insightful conversations by some of the top and emerging voices in the tech and innovation space on the continent,” an Econet spokesman says.
The programme includes keynote talks, hackathons, masterclasses, gaming tournaments and youth-focused innovation challenges. Econet says the event will showcase technologies such as AI, IoT, 5G and cloud services, giving visitors a sense of how these tools can support new business models and improve service delivery.
“With two business-focused days and one public day, we expect the event to attract dozens of corporates, startups, entrepreneurs, regulators, academics, tech investors, students and digital creators,” the company said.
Beyond the exhibition, the event is pitched as a platform to strengthen Zimbabwe’s tech ecosystem by creating opportunities for mentorship, skills development and cross-sector partnerships, areas where local companies and young innovators often face gaps that limit growth.
