EU appoints ad agency Dicomm McCann as its Zimbabwe communications partner

The European Union (EU) Delegation to Zimbabwe has signed a contract with local communications firm Dicomm McCann to support the implementation of its communication strategy in the country. This was announced on the Dicomm McCann website.

The contract reflects the EU’s realisation that strategic communication is extremely important to raise awareness, understanding, and perception of the Zimbabwe-EU partnership and its impact on Zimbabwe. As the EU seeks to ensure that public awareness is commensurate with the scale, scope, and ambition of their engagement in Zimbabwe, they felt it prudent to look for a communication partner who could assist them in their strategic communication activities.

Based on shared values and interests, the EU is accompanying Zimbabwe as it pursues its development objectives, as outlined in the country’s National Development Strategy (2021-2025). Since 1981, the European Union has been a reliable development partner to Zimbabwe in the sectors of agriculture, health, trade, and private sector development and governance.

Commenting on the announcement, Dicomm McCann Managing Director Charles Mutemera said: “Helping brands earn a meaningful role is what we live for. We are thrilled to welcome the EU Delegation to Dicomm McCann. These are certainly exciting times for the team at Dicomm McCann. It’s an honour to be trusted to assist with communications for an institution of this magnitude. Kudos to the team for making this possible!”

Recently, Dicomm McCann announced it had signed a contract with Liquid Intelligent Technologies, a business of Cassava Technologies, to oversee the creative implementation of Liquid work in 20 different African markets through the support of other McCann affiliates scattered around Africa.
